Attention Predator and sci-fi horror fans! One of the original members of Dutch’s elite rescue squad is officially deployed for a special mission in Texas.
Richard Chaves, best known to the sci-fi community as the iconic, grenade-launcher-wielding Poncho Ramirez from John McTiernan’s 1987 masterpiece Predator, has been announced as a featured celebrity guest for the Horrors of Sci-Fi: Aliens vs. Predator weekend.

Hosted by Kings of Horror, this massive pop-culture market features over 75 independent subculture vendors, local artists, and vintage collectible dealers. Aside from browsing rare horror and sci-fi merchandise, attendees will have the rare chance to lock in meet-and-greets, secure autographs, and snap selfies with Chaves himself.
The convention is also shaping up to be an absolute must-visit for Predator franchise completionists. Chaves will be appearing alongside his legendary former co-star Bill Duke (Mac), as well as R. David Smith (Predator 2), Carl Toop (Aliens), and Dane DiLiegro (Prey).
